Chap Online: prize table rules

Rules of 30 October 2026

Draft for lawyer review. This text has not yet been approved by a Nigerian or an English solicitor and may change before launch.

Chap Online is free. Every day it runs prize tables: finish first at one and you win ₦5,000, and your first win also earns a free seat at a Chap Live studio show in Lagos. These are the rules, in full, published before anyone plays.

Anyone can play a prize table. To be paid a prize you must be 18 or over and have a Nigerian bank account in your own name. You confirm you are 18 or over when you claim.

Nothing is for sale. Playing is free, and nothing you buy anywhere changes what is on offer or who wins it.

Every day, from 12:00 to 14:00 and 19:00 to 23:00, West Africa Time, a prize table starts every 30 minutes: 12 a day, the last at 22:30.

You can reserve a place at any listed table without signing in. Check-in opens 2 minutes before the start; a place not checked in by the start is released, and anyone else may join in those minutes.

A table starts only when at least 2 people have checked in. If fewer do, it does not run, and you can play a free table or come back for the next one. Each start seats a limited number of tables; once they are full, you are told so. The Chap Crew fills any empty seat.

Exactly like any other table: 4 seats, 5 Lock-In questions, then the Chap Relay of 8 links. Every seat sees the same questions at the same time.

The winner is the person with the most points when the table ends. If people are level on points, the one with more Chap Relay points wins. People still level after that each win the full prize.

A seat the Chap Crew played at any point, including while you were away from it, cannot win. If a Crew seat finishes first on its own, nobody wins that table, and the prize does not pass to the next place.

A winner who cannot meet the rules in “Who can win” is not paid, and the prize does not pass to the next place either.

Claim from the game within 30 days of the table: sign in with Google, confirm you are 18 or over, and press Claim on WhatsApp. This opens a message to the Chap team on WhatsApp, +234 706 295 8330, with your claim code. A win not claimed in time expires.

The team checks the win, then pays the full prize, with nothing taken off, by bank transfer to an account in your own name. Send them your bank details in the chat. We do not promise a payment time.

A Google account can be paid at most 2 wins. The team may refuse a bank account that has already been paid 2 wins.

Your first claimed win also earns a free seat at a Chap Live studio show in Lagos, for you and one other person. There is no deposit to pay.

Each studio session sets aside a few seats for Chap Online winners. We offer them in the order wins were claimed, and email you with the next free date; we do not promise a date. The seat is yours for 6 months from your win. If you have not taken it by then, it lapses.

On the day, the studio’s own terms apply: everyone on set is 18 or over, shows ID if asked, and signs the participant release before playing.

A change to these rules is published here as a new dated version before it applies. A table plays under the rules in force when it started.
